Though it may sound cliché, especially in this industry, I’ve always been a true dog lover. I was that kid who couldn’t get enough of anything related to dogs—I devoured every dog book, watched every Animal Planet show about dogs, and would stop anyone on the street just to ask if I could pet their dog. In kindergarten, when my teacher asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I confidently replied, “A Canine Police Officer!” It was a role none of my classmates had even heard of, but I already knew where my heart was set. So, it came as no surprise to my family when I pursued a career as a dog trainer.

With a certification from the renowned NePoPo School and over eight years of practical experience, I am deeply passionate about helping owners and their dogs overcome behavioral challenges, including reactivity and aggression. One of my family dogs growing up, Jake, a Dalmatian, developed territorial tendencies after a traumatic encounter with another dog. Witnessing how that affected him sparked my desire to understand and help other dogs and owners dealing with similar behavioral issues. Today, one of my dogs, Archie—an Australian Shepherd and Korean Jindo mix— is selective with both dogs and people. Training and raising Archie has not only deepened my empathy but also enhanced my understanding of the unique challenges faced by owners and their dogs who don’t fit the “norm.”

In my free time, you’ll often find me training my own dogs, playing video games, or enjoying frequent trips to Disneyland with my wife!
